Project 06:  Rebrand An Already Well Designed Brand.

Brand Selected: Starbucks

Problem With Starbucks:

 

According to US Today, Americans Use more than 500 million drinking draws daily; enough to fill 125 school buses. Being that Starbucks gets roughly around 500 customers per day, the straw usage is through the roof. There is a lack of care for the environment for Starbucks and is the leading brand that needs to take advantage of their platform to make some change.  

Why Starbucks:

 

I decided to take a really large, well-known brand with a brand identity that is so ingrained in our heads, to not only challenge myself but to redirect a public perception in a more vibrant and meaningful way.

Mission:

To make Starbucks the leading brand in favor of helping the environment. Starbucks now provides coffee with a cause.

Why Orange Cups?

These cups are not only biodegradable but are a hazardous, bright orange to be spotted from the distance and stand out amongst other trash( ocean or on land).

Posters:

These posters play with form in relation to the new abstract logo. There is a variety of poster directions but maintain the loud graphic forms to be expressed.

Create an extension of it.

Extension: Starbucks Surfing

About:

 

To go alongside the new environmental awareness ideology, I decided to create an extension that is closer to the water.
